Social distancing has brought families together at home, and that also means that our appliances, including HVAC systems, are being used more often. Setting the thermostats during the day to accommodate the time you’re away “at the office” isn’t applicable right now. As many of us are working from home, we want to make sure we are comfortable and productive…and that means we want “all the comforts of home” to work effectively.

The COVID-19 outbreak may be disrupting some of our day-to-day activities, but as an essential business, we want to make sure our customers know that safety and health is of our highest priority. We take the recommended precautions to ensure the risk of transmission is minimal and that’s why we are doing the following:

  • We have started to contact our maintenance program customers about scheduling maintenance visits. It’s important that if there are any issues with any of our customer’s heating and cooling systems, we have time to evaluate and properly handle its repair. We will continue to follow the rules set in place to keep you (and our staff members) safe during this unprecedented time.
  • We are considered an essential business, which means if your heating or cooling equipment breaks down and needs service, we can help. We are monitoring the situation at a local and state level and can help if you need us. Our staff will not be working if they don’t feel well, and we also ask that our customers reschedule their appointment if they feel unhealthy.

During this time, we will also respect your space and will only be inside your home when necessary. Our service technicians and installers wash hands regularly, will be wearing gloves and masks, and our trucks and equipment are cleaned on a regular basis. Today, these are necessary precautions, but we have always taken exceptional care of our vehicles, equipment and uniforms, striving for the excellence you deserve.

If you have more questions about what the CDC is currently recommending, please visit their website here. Our “social distancing service calls” can be held outside the home, with conversations from six feet away. Although we may not shake your hand during this visit, please know that we appreciate your business and thank you for supporting us…a local, family-owned heating and cooling company.

Stay healthy and safe. #InThisTogether.
